Absolutely!
The Real Escape can be hired to host a stag/hen, birthday party, company or any other event and can accommodate up to 21 people per hour, with up to 6 players in Chamber of the Deep, Dr Ryddle’s Memories and The Guardians of the Elixir each, and up to 3 people in Mission 60. All our escape games can function simultaneously.
We’d recommend splitting up your large group into smaller groups and reserve 1 session (4 different games).
All of our games have the same start time so your whole group can arrive together. so please book your slots as it appears on  calendar   .
We’d love to help! If you’d like to talk to us about your requirements, please contact info@therealescape.co.uk

Who can play?

The Real Escape is best played in a team of four or five, but a minimum of two and a maximum of six can book a session. Mission 60 can be played in a team of two or a team of three
Anyone can play our games but we recommend that players are aged 14 or over. In each team, there must be at least one adult over the age of 18.

How long does a game take?

The length of the experience varies from team to team but we find that the average session lasts about an hour. Staff will hold a short instruction briefing before each game.

Will we get help if we get stuck in the game?

Players get the most out of the game when they work together to find the answers themselves.
But if a team gets really stuck, The Real Escape team can provide helpful clues.

Is it scary?

The game does not contain any frightening, distressing or adult-themed content. However, The Real Escape experience does include darkness, sound and flashing lights. We recommend players are over the age of 14 because of the challenging nature of the puzzles you will encounter.

How big is the room?

We want The Real Escape to be a challenge that everyone can enjoy.
We welcome visitors of all abilities and two of our rooms are wheelchair-accessible. Please note that for space and safety reasons we are only able to accommodate one wheelchair in each group.
The Chamber of the Deep, Dr. Ryddle’s Memories and The Guardians of the Elixir are our wheelchair-accessible rooms, however Mission 60 is not.
We do not have any stairs at The Real Escape so players with limited mobility could take part and enjoy all of our games.
Please contact us to discuss your requirements before booking.

Is The Real Escape suitable for visitors with limited mobility or wheelchair users?

We want The Real Escape to be a challenge that everyone can enjoy.
We welcome disabled visitors and two of our rooms are wheelchair-accessible. Please note that for space and safety reasons we are only able to accommodate one wheelchair in each group.
Dr Ryddle’s Memories and the Guardians of the Elixir are indeed wheelchair accessible, however the Chamber of the Deep is not.
We do not have any stairs at The Real Escape so players with limited mobility could take part and enjoy all our games.
Please contact us to discuss your requirements before booking.

Are we really locked inside the room?

The aim of the game is to find the key to unlock the door to make your escape. The Real Escape team is able to monitor players’ progress from outside the room and can open the door at any time if there is a problem. There is also a green emergency button in the room that players can press if they want to abandon the game and open the door.

Is the game difficult?

The game is designed to be challenging! However, the vast majority of teams will be able to complete it if they think laterally and work together.
You can see the escape rate when booking to help you decide which room to try first.

Do you have any advice for someone new to the game?

Be aware of your surroundings, talk the puzzles through with your team-mates and, most importantly, work together to solve the problems.

How many people can play the game at once?

We recommend that for the best experience, players book in teams of four or five if playing the Chamber of the Deep, Dr. Ryddle’s Memories or The Guardians of the Elixir; however, we are able to accept a minimum of two and a maximum of six players in these rooms.
Mission 60 is our newest room, there are high chances of escaping if a team of 2 play it. This room can have a maximum of 3 players per game.

Is there an age restriction?

There are no age restrictions at The Real Escape and a team does not need to pay for a child under the age of 5. However, due to the difficulty of some puzzles, we recommend that players are aged 14 and older and each team has at least one person over 18 years old.
Players under the age of 14 can encounter difficulties with recognizing or understanding the correlation between puzzles. However, this game can be very enjoyable for a family if the whole team works together!

What if I want to add extra people to the game?

No problem! As long as your entire team is fewer than six players in the Chamber of the Deep, Dr. Ryddle’s Memories, or The Guardians of the Elixir, then you can add extra people on the day. Please note that we can only take cash payments inside the building.
If you booked Mission 60 for a team of two, then an extra player can be added and paid for on the day.
For safety reasons we are unable to accept more than 6 players in the Chamber of the Deep, Dr. Ryddle’s Memories, and The Guardians of the Elixir and more than 3 players in Mission 60.

Do you mix teams with other members of the public?

No, we do not mix players with other members of the public to fill up the room.

As a result, it is possible to book a room for a team of two and add extra members by paying the difference on the day with cash.

I’m pregnant – is The Real Escape safe for me?

The Real Escape is a real workout for the brain but does not involve any heavy lifting or strenuous activity. It is perfectly safe for pregnant women to play.
